I've always needed a goal. Something to work towards and keep me focused. Growing up I played hockey and baseball. After my senior year at William Penn University in 2009, my sports career was coming to an end. This was a very difficult time for me. I felt lost without baseball. At the time, I didn't realize that my real passion was training and being in the gym. The summer following my senior year in college would be the start of a whole new journey. I was lifting at the gym one day and was approached by a former figure competitor. She asked if I was getting ready for a bodybuilding competition. At the time I was training for some MLB open tryouts around the midwest. She told me if I was interested she would help me prepare for a competiton. I jumped at the opportunity right away. I had always been interested in bodybuilding and competing but didn't know how to get the ball rolling. Four months later I stepped on stage for the first time in October of 2009. I haven't looked back since. Exactly three years later at the same show, I won my IFPA Pro Card and became a professional natural bodybuilder. That three year journey taught me alot about myself and that my parents weren't lying when they said I could do anything I put my mind to. I learned that nothing happens over night and if you fall down six times, you need to get up seven. If you want something bad enough, you'll find a way to get it done. I learned that nothing worth having comes easy and takes dedication, drive and alot of sacrifice. Now that I've reached my goal and am now a natural professional bodybuilder, it's time to set new ones and continue to stay hungry. My first goal I'm set on for 2013 is to obtain my personal training certificate. I think it's very important to continue learning and to exercise the brain. After all, it's the most powerful muscle we have. I got my degree in business management but have switched focus since then. Another reason I want to get certified is so that I can help others reach their goals. I think that real success is not just helping yourself but bringing out the best in others as well. My second goal for 2013 is to place in the top five at my pro debut. Knowing that I'll be going up against some of the best natural athletes in the world is very motivating and am honored to be recognized as one of them. Not much will change this off season besides staying within 20 lbs from stage weight (previous off season weights have gotten a bit too high in the past lol). I will continue to live a healthy lifestyle by staying on point with my nutrition and killing it in the gym and focusing on weak areas. I made this page to keep friends, family and fans updated on my progress and also to keep myself motivated. You can also find all my competition pictures and videos on here as well. Enjoy and STAY HUNGRY!
